The History of the Hotel

Frankfurt’s Westend originated in the Wilhelminian time. Back in 1904 the stately home, today’s Hotel Villa Florentina, was built in this neighbourhood’s Westendstraße.

In 1950 the “Hotel Hübner” opened within its stylish walls. Until 1989 it stayed family-owned. Then, in 1991, the villa experienced a change of name: For the first time, officially, the name “Hotel  Florentina” emerged.

In 1998 the Hotel Florentina Garni was the first hotel in Frankfurt to be ranked as a ‘3-star hotel’ by the German Hotel and Restaurant Association. Since 2005 it is under new management and it was modernised in 2006.
The spiritual relationship to the Tuscan way of life proudly lives on.
